Vow Renewals
“Love at first sight is easy to understand; it’s when two people have been looking at each other for a lifetime that it becomes a miracle.”
- Sam Levenson
Planning a vow renewal ceremony
Often couples wish to renew their vows when they reach a particular anniversary, or when they have come through a difficult patch and wish to re-commit to each other. The joy of planning a Vow Renewal Ceremony is there are literally no rules at all! You can have the ceremony in your back garden, a village hall, or a fancy hotel. You can have a small intimate ceremony with only close family and friends, or a huge bash with all the works. It is up to you, and I have plenty of ideas to help you create a truly memorable day.
Included:
- Initial phone/Zoom call to discuss the process and to start to get to know you.
- I will then send you a bespoke questionnaire for you to complete in your own time.
- We will then arrange to meet face-to-face to start planning your ceremony.
- I can help you write your own vows, or I can write them for you.
- I will bring ideas for any rituals that you might wish to include such as a wine ceremony or lighting a unity candle.
- I will send you a draft of the ceremony, and we will communicate as often as necessary via phone, email or Whatsapp to tweak it until you are entirely happy with it.
- If you have gone for the fancy bash, I will liaise with the venue and other suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day
- If you are having the ceremony in your back garden, I will want to have a walk-round to check for any trip hazards etc.. and work out the best place for people to congregate
- I will advise on music and how we can ensure that everyone can hear you say your all-important vows
- Travel within a 30 mile radius of my home (if further, an extra charge may be incurred)
- A full rehearsal just prior to the ceremony itself, if required.
- Delivery of the ceremony.
- As an add-on, a presentation copy of the script for the ceremony as a memento of your special day.
Fee: from £650
Including family and friends
Often, couples who are renewing their vows wish to include close family members or friends in their ceremony. It is particularly special to involve people who were present at the wedding, such as the best man/woman, and maybe to light a candle for those who are no longer with us.
I have plenty of ideas as to how to create a truly special day and to make everyone feel part of it.
