As your Funeral Celebrant,
I will meet with you as soon as you are ready to start planning your loved one’s ceremony.
I will listen to you with compassion. I will be guided by you as to how you would like to honour and remember your loved one, ensuring that the ceremony fully reflects their personality and life.
Depending on yours and your loved one’s wishes, the ceremony can be completely non-religious, or I can include religious elements such as hymns or prayers.
I can recommend poems and readings if you so wish, and discuss music and photo tributes. I can also discuss any other rituals that you might like to include, such as lighting candles, or placing flowers or precious items on the coffin. I can write the Eulogy (Tribute) for your loved one, or can deliver one that you have written yourself. You may want to deliver it yourself, in which case I will be on hand to step in if you need me to.
Included:
- Initial meeting to hear your loved one’s story and start to plan the ceremony. This can take place at your house, over Zoom, over the phone, or in any another place convenient to you.
- Writing the Eulogy (if you would like me to) and planning the content and order of the ceremony. I will email the draft Eulogy to you to ensure that it meets your needs, and will amend it as necessary until you are completely happy with it.
- Providing the details of the ceremony to the Funeral Director in good time for them to prepare the Order of Service.
- Liaising with the Funeral Director as required.
- Attending the Crematorium or other venue for the Ceremony early, to ensure that I will be able to greet yourselves and pay my full respects to your loved one.
- Delivering the Ceremony.
- Providing you with a copy of the Ceremony script afterwards, for you to keep as a memento.

I also offer ceremonies for the scattering or burial of ashes, memorials or celebration of life. I can also conduct Living Funerals, and help you plan your funeral ceremony.
